Well for a while now i have been mulling over the elements that i had chosen for my "Insignia of Chaos" story. It always seemed to me that i was being rather unoriginal with my choices, both for the elements and the races actually. So i have been trying to make some changes and here they are.
Just to recap though these are the insignia that represent the different aspects of magic throughout the world of Pangaia that my story is set in. At the top are Light and Darkness which represent positive (all) magic and negative (no) magic, respectively.
Light magic is the element of the Celestials, a race of ancient mechanical angels.
Dark magic is the element of the Oblivions, a race of ancient demonic beings.
Below these two meta-elements is Thought, another meta-element based on uniting all the principles of the lower elements, but not the higher ones.
Thought magic is the element of the Gohtenheim, a race of magically adept goat-people.
Below Thought are the seven lower elements that the lower races of Pangaia each represent.
Destiny - Magic dedicated to the flow of time and the future of all things. Destiny magic is the element of the Urukuri, a race of ancient golem-like beings.
Fire - Magic dedicated to heat and the raw energy which surges through all things. Fire magic is the element of the Torrians, a race of dinosaur-like people.
Base - Magic dedicated to the very building blocks of chemicals and their transmutations. Base magic is the element of the Greeches, a race of super-intelligent leeches.
Life - Magic dedicated to nature and the lives of all things. Life magic is the element of the Balonchons, a race of hearty dog-like people.
Sky - Magic dedicated to the air and the weather that spreads across all of Pangaia. Sky magic is the element of the Molmotes, a race of enigmatic jellyfish-like creatures.
World - Magic dedicated to the grand movements of the world and it's myriad natural forces. World magic is the element of the Henzen, a race of powerful dragons.
Spirit - Magic dedicated to the indestructible spirit within all things. Spirit magic is the element of the Caramellodetto, a race of humans whose spirits now inhabit artificial bodies.
Anyone who has seen the older elements and races i submitted may have noticed that some were dropped but i think that this new lineup will be much more interesting. Coming soon will be drawings of all these new races as well as more detailed information on the world of Pangaia itself.
